I am glad to say that JD was a good friend and I will miss him deeply. It is still hard for me to believe that he is gone, but I have many good memories to fall back on. I will miss his phone calls to discuss various car related topics and anything else that either of us had on our minds. Because of JD, I became hooked on GMMG Camaros. He gave me a ride in his ZL-1, and after that ride - I said that I needed to get something like that. So low and behold, JD helped me find my Berger SS and then also put me in touch with Matt Murphy so that I could do a Phase IIX upgrade. JD was willing to do the little things to help a guy out, for example, he created my custom signature/Berger picture on this website.
JD loved Camaros, and especially anything GMMG related. Thanks to folks like JD, the GMMG brand & following is strong today. All of us in the GMMG community have lost a dear friend & GMMG promoter. JD, you will be missed by many. May you rest in peace.

John “J.D.” Le Blanc, was born July 03, 1956 to Jane (Isaacs) and Carl Le Blanc in Chillicothe, Missouri. He passed away at home in Polk City, Iowa on October 10, 2014.
J.D. attended Wentworth Academy in Lexington, Missouri and graduated in 1974. In 1978 he graduated with high honors, at the top of his class from Missouri Valley College. He worked in many financial institutions and at Edward Jones as a financial advisor. From 1998 to 2009 he co-owned Tires Plus in Ankeny. He worked with the Sheriff’s Department in Jefferson for five years and for the past 25 years as a Deputy Reserve in Polk County.
J.D. loved his Camaros and was a member of the Mid-Iowa Camaro Club. He made many friends through car shows in several states. Annual shows were like attending family reunions. Many people there were very dear to his heart. He was also Founder of the GMMG Registry Forum Board.
J.D. married Teresa Lippe in 1978. Their son Dustin was born June 14, 1981. He is survived by Nancy, his current wife of sixteen years, son Dustin (Sarah Waltz) Le Blanc, step-children Christopher (Deana) Hilliard, and Stephanie (Anthony) Hembry, and eleven grandchildren, brothers-in-law, John (Cindy) Garrison, Kevin Garrison, and JayDee (Rhonda) Garrison, step-parents Phillip and Thurmadene Garrison. He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents who helped to raise him, John and Beulah Isaacs, and his Aunt Vesta Stamm.
The family will receive visitors beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 26th, 2014, followed by a service at 2:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines.
