I knew that Billie Lawler built my engine in my Phase II ZL-1 because he also included a book with my car detailing some of the engine information. When the car was delivered to me in May of 2003 at the Berger ZL-1 Special Delivery it ran pretty rough and was hard to keep it running particularily at idle. When I took it back to the Berger Chevy Show that fall (September of 2003) Billie just happened to be in attendence at the show and had his laptop with him and I told him about my problems. He took my car and plugged his laptop into it and did some "tweaking" on the tune of my engine and improved it approximately 85% over what it was.
If you get your car down here I will update your tune to the 2012 software and work out all your bugs. Alot has changed in tuning since then.

Idea??? Would someone please review all this info & maybe we could have a thread that will have all the correct information in one place? This is important information & if anyone would like to take the time, please do so. That way we all would have it right. Thanks. Jim

Good thinking Jim, I had that very same idea when I started this very thread. I wanted a single location where I and the community could go get all the correct PHASE specifications with the most reliable sources (Mike) to back it up.
What better place then the community lounge on the new GMMG forum!
Obviously, "PHASES and their ratings" need to become a sticky someday. If not this thread then another of your choosing.

PHASE IIX6R & PHASE IIXR....525HP/????? (How much torque does the top PHASE II have?)
PHASE IV........700HP/????? (Anybody know how much torque ZL1 #69 had with its SR427 C5R engine?)

I added the fact that Camaros equipped with the PHASE 5X had the engine size designation of 454ci/7.4L and the firebirds with the same PHASE 5X package had an engine size designation of 455ci/7.5L.
It is important to note that both engines are exactly the same and are named different sizes for matching historical purposes only.
Plus....its really cool to have a Pontiac Trans-Am with a 455ci in it!!

I have started a "GMMG PRODUCTION NUMBERS" thread in order to organize in a single thread all the GMMG MODEL and PHASE production numbers. I hope that similarly to this thread that organized all GMMG PHASES and their corresponding ratings, this new one will help GMMG owners and enthusiasts understand how many of each model were made. Furthermore will help understand how many of each PHASE were built in that model. I have acknowledged that this will be difficult since over the years, cars have been brought back to GMMG to be upgraded. Nonetheless, I will try my best and with the help of the community will end up with accurate build numbers.
