I'm not 100% sure I can make it.

Might have to fly out, rent a car & fly home?

Jim

seriously, I'd have thought you would have taken up more than half the display with you cars :) my nephew just got an 18wheeler car hauler, maybe you guys up in the region should charter him for the week to haul you all around :D

After talking with Bud Scolastigo several weeks ago I WAS NOT impressed with the way our GMMG cars will be treated. However, on a liter note Jim Smith told me the event organizers are gonna revamp what was printed in the past. I hope so because as it stands right now, my #38 DEI is staying in Floyd's museum.

Whats your biggest concern Craig? I spoke with him as well, due to having 3 cars in 3 different catagories/ sections. I was hoping they'd put us at a crossroad for the sections. As it is now, I'm likely to keep all 3 cars together and just enter them as reunion cars(unjudged)

Are you at Sea Bob? Been trying to phone/email you. My concerns:

1. Travel to Floyd's, load my car onto a borrowed open car trailer.

2. Haul it to the event & possibly sit in the rain for maybe a Dime Store Trophy?

3. If it's a GMMG reunion, why a entry fee? How many people have actually seen one in person?

4. Pay Big $$ for a couple days in a hotel room. Why not free camping for the owners?

5. Haul it back to Floyd's and return home to NC. Over a 1K mile round trip for me And FOR WHAT?.. :confusion-shrug:

6. Are any Major Magazines planing to do a section on this reunion?

Don't misunderstand me Bob, I'd like to meet other owners too. However, I get more 'Looks' & 'Thumbs Up' at local car events with my '66 Elkey.. . And there is NO ENTRY FEE!..

ADDENDUM

1. From the printed flyers and photos so far, this national event is CLEARLY geared toward the 1st generation cars. Nothing wrong with that because I've owned a number of them myself in the past.

2. However, this is 2015 & what about the 2nd thru 5th generation cars? I saw few if any of them sitting in the indoor display areas..WHAT THE HELL?.. :o

3. I've been asked to bring my '14 Z-28 with 18 original miles on the clock. Once again, Why? To sit outside in the mud while the 1st gens are pampered indoors? Ain't Gonna Happen. :naughty:

All Comments Are Welcome Ladies And Gents. :D

I agree with you Craig. Gmmg car reunions should probably be regional. It's a lot of work and worry getting a car to a car show

You're right Jim, it IS a lot of work & worry not to mention the expense $$. I talked to Jim Smith last weekend and he agreed with me. Said its doubtful he'll enter a car but might fly in to view the show. He also said there are some owners in the area that are working with the organizers to come up with a better plan. I'am wondering WHO THEY ARE?.. :confusion-confused:

I stopped into Berger Chevy and talked with Dick Jacques. He mentioned they're planning on attending the reunion.
