I just got an e-mail from Bud (organizer) & he said everyone needs to get registered now because they need time to get things organized for the GMMG's.

DON'T WAIT!

Do it sooner rather than later. Be sure they know you are bringing a GMMG.

Jim

I won't be bringing a car.

I emailed my registration and mailed my check to Bud. I've been corresponding with him as well. He says, depending on how many register, the GMMG display will be either the East side of Section A or the West side of Section C on the layout map on the website.

(The link is : http://www.camaronationals.org/image/FairgroundsMap.pdf ; Maybe someone with better internet access than my sat link can actually post it in this thread.)

Viewed on Google Maps Satellite- it looks like a nice spot out in the open- no tree pitch. Have we come to a consensus on ordering a tent? He's trying to plan this now, so If we're going to get anything substantial I think we should tell him. I think we have to confirm first off how many GMMG's want to be at the GMMG display. As of now, even though he knows my car's a GMMG, he's trying to send my BB down to the Firebird participant section, while I'm trying to keep my cars close to the GMMG dispaly.

Table & a few extra chairs

A portable car show tent to keep the sun off.

Berger Banner ...l. I know Frank SS 57 has one

Does anyone have a GMMg Banner?

Can someone bring a large GMMG metal sign & hanging rope or 'tie-ties'?

Cooler with water

Please add to the list & if you can bring something post it.

What else?????

What do you think about dinner somewhere Friday evening with other GMMG owners? Saturday it is. Maybe someone that knows the area can pick a spot?

I expect Matt Berger & Scott Settlemire will be around + others.

If anyone can track Matt Murphy down please invite him. I haven't talked to him in years.

Friday Night is the dinner and charity auction. I'm not leaving until Sunday morning, so a Saturday night dinner with anyone staying around would be great.

I'll be bringing the car show standard equipment: Sunblock, folding chairs & table, coolers, 10x10 tent. (Not sure how they feel about grills?)

The events tent people are Totally Tents. I contacted them and we can get a 20' x 50' (Big enough for 5 cars) for $600 including delivery & setup. So, $120 a person if we have 5 takers. I'm in for 1. Anyone else??
