On my 2002 Phase II ZL-1.......................they used the convertible top switch. :lol:

Yeah.................when people look inside my car and see that....................they say....................convertible top......................this is a hard top..............you can't put the roof down. :D I say.....................no..................when I hit this switch................I definitely want the roof up ! ! ! ! ! :auto-layrubber:

No....................I'd have to get under the car and do some measuring. I "assume" it is 3". They are made by Q.T.P. (Quick-Time Performance). I'm sure if you called them they would know what they sold to Matt at GMMG. Mine went bad a couple of years after I got my ZL-1. Matt told me to just call Q.T.P. I called them..............told them I had a GMMG ZL-1 Camaro. They sent me a whole new unit....................no charge. My guys at the shop installed it. Done deal. :lol:

That photo is my Hot Rod Car on hoist at GMMG. I had problems with that unit, replaced it once, then fixed it myself. Still have a spare in case it malfunctions.

How did you fix it yourself? What were the problems of the original unit?
