Just went and saw the movie Captain Phillips with Tom Hanks. If you look at the picture above.......................our friend Bobby sails for the same company and does the same job as Tom Hanks does in the movie sailing the same route. Bobby..........................I have a whole new appreciation for what you do ! ! ! ! :bow-blue: :bow-blue: :bow-blue: :bow-blue: :bow-blue:

What does 2 miles per barrel equal in gallons? Many of the Royal Carribean cruise ships I have been on say they use a gallon of diesel to go 1 foot in the water. :)

Sorry, I don't know how I missed these replies. Thanks J.D.

I was captain of the Alabama after the 2nd piracy ordeal(unpublicized). The ship has been attacked 5 times but only made the news once. Alabama 13 pirates 0.

Here's a few shots from Mombassa

This one is while crossing the equator east of Africa. i only post it because I'm wearing my "I Drive Excitement" Pontiac BlackBird shirt :D

Fuel economy for California is 21 Gallons per mile

This is Cali doing her thing in the Persian Gulf

Any time. Its such a strange twist of fate that my ships and my job became famous  Ive always been proud to do it. Its part of Americas projection of power policy that has been around since its founding (CONSTITUTION was built for that reason and handle pirates) Its definately a different profession, but I always thought it was a cool job and i'm grateful its one I enjoy.
