Dick Harrell PRCV Prototype - Original Owner
Posted: Tue Nov 20, 2018 6:02 am
There is a lot of discussion about PRCV. Authorized or not GMMG & Mike Carnahan built it so we include it in the GMMG Wild Card Section. If a car has a GMMG Door Tag it is included. This seems to be the most talked about & disputed GMMG.
October 27, 2012 - There is a question about PRCV as to whether is was an authorized DH or not. Until I have something in writing from Valerie Harrell & Berger Chevy it will remain on the Wildcard page.
October 29, 2012 -
I had a long conversation with Valerie Harrell this afternoon about PRCV & have additional information to share. PRCV was not an authorized Dick Harrell/Berger car. She informed me that she did not authorize PRCV & it is not a DH car.
With that said PRCV was built buy GMMG, is the only wide-body convert, claims 750 hp & that would make it the highest horsepower GMMG built that I am aware on but it is not a Dick Harrell/Berger authorized car.

DH PRCV History
October 22, 2018 – Jim Smith – GMMG Registry
There has been a lot of controversy about DH PRCV over the years.
I’ll start the discussion & then read when Mike Carnahan has to say.
Here’s the story as I understand it. If you have supporting documentation that changes any of this please let me know.
GMMG build a Dick Harrell Convert Prototype (PRCV). The situation with GMMG & Valarie was already strained by this time. Matt Murphy & Mike Carnahan showed the car to Val hoping for her approval. Val did not approve or sign off to build any DH Converts.
PRCV is & was a DH Prototype Convert. It has a GMMG Door Tag. It’s a one-off & is considered a GMMG Wildcard. GMMG built it, it’s real & it was a prototype that never got approved.
Over the years Valarie Harrell has made a lot of fuss & noise with Mike Carnahan & the current owner (Jim – AZ). She has started to me that she wants the car off the GMMG Registry. The answer is no. It is a prototype just like many others that didn’t get approved & is the real deal.
