I love the 'shoe-polish' cars because they are painted awesome colors.

I first saw photos of it when Benson owned it. Stunningly Beautiful Car!..... :handgestures-thumbup:

But, IMHO the red calipers do not compliment the color at all. If it were mine (and its NOT) I would go with cast iron grey or even silver.

I any case that is One Very Purrty 'Maro!.....

Jeff is in New Orleans & has the Johnny Benson SS #72 loaded & is heading north.

If the car arrives before Friday it will be a great 70th birthday present from me to me.

Lake Pontchartrain Bridge - wreck

Jeff - You Funny Man!

Jeff called & said he scratched the car loading. My reply was..... 'It's a good thing you know how to paint a GMMG'. Ha-Ha - He was messing with me - again!

Jim,

I’m glad Jeff had an easy trip. I know my dad enjoyed meeting him and spoke highly of him.

I’m anxious to see when you get the car and how you like it. We certainly didn’t drive and enjoy it enough! Hopefully you will!

I know I'll love it---- What's not to like?

A special thanks to Nick & his two boys (Jason & Scott) for providing me the privilege to be the Caretaker of the Johnny Benson Chrome Illusion SS #72.

I will drive it, have fun, go to some car shows & keep it perfect. This is one of the three cars I can't see ever selling.

SS #39 & SS #72 together in Louisiana. They are separated now but maybe someday they can be together again.

I'll be rearranging the Showroom for SS #72.

The Pace Cars will be split up for 2 more GMMG's. ('Pete' - 'Re-Pete' & 'Three-Pete')

SS #72 will sit where HRE #1979 Convert sits

Jeff said he & Aaron will be here Sunday Aug. 10, 2014

Other garage - it will be crowded when all 3 cars arrive.

OMG!!!! Sooooooooooooooo Coooooooooooool!

The color is always looking different. I know it would be cool BUT not this cool.

It looks purple, blue, green, yellow, black & a bunch of other cool colors all at the same time.

Berger hit it out of the park with the Special 'Aqua Purpleine' Chrome Illusion Paint applied by Berger. (almost a $10k paint job)

Only one like it anywhere on the planet - 1 of 1.

Harley from' KDawgFilmz' was on had taking video's......... will post the link when I get it.

Jeff Gassen & Jim

Of course Jeff lit them up a little & I'm OK with that!

The neighbors showed up & even Sandy likes the paint!

Jim - Jeff & Aaron Thornton (BB #24)....... Aaron wanted to see the showroom & he can comment on it himself.

GMMG Invoice to Johnny Benson.......OMG..........almost $60k back in 2002!

Complete paperwork including GM Window Sticker - Build Sheet - SLP Invoice & more

Good paint is expensive..........

Signature list.........
