Pat Staton @ Year One - JD - Jim Simon - by: Jim Smith
I have reviewed the information I received from Pat & rechecked against the information & files I have from Matt.
As expected it raises more questions & answers a few.
Originally it appeared that 112 Blackbird’s were built BUT recent information suggests only 101 total BB’s were built.
Let me start……
Year One Formula:
14 Y1F & 2 prototypes were to be built. I can only verify that 7 Y1F & 2 prototypes were ever built with YOF #7 (Cliff's SOM) being the last one.
I am of the opinion that only 7 Y1F’s & 2 prototypes were ever built. 9 total
Pat has VIN #’s for the 7 Y1F’s MIA but I cannot tie a GMMG Tag number to them.
022148401 – 822148503 – 222149025 – 222149565 – 22149813 – 622149889 – X22152641
Year One Blackbirds:
10 YOBB plus 2 prototypes were to be built.
YOBB #7, #8, #9 are MIA – no Vin # - no GMMG Tag #
YOBB #1 & #10 are Converts – all are silver
I am of the opinion that only 7 YOBB’s & 2 prototypes were ever built. – 9 total
CETA Blackbirds:
10 CETA’s plus 1 prototype were built. 4 T-Tops & 7 Converts – 11 total
It appears only 5 were built & sold thru Carl Black #1-5 & #6-10 were not sold thru Carl Black & were not built for Carl Black by GMMG.
35th Anniversary Blackbirds:
Information states 17 were built BUT 19 plus 1 (or maybe 2) prototypes were built for 20 total 35th Anniversaries.
I owned #19 – Matt Murphy confirmed that this was the last BB built. I am not sure about CA-PRY-1.
Blackbird’s (2000-2002):
50 plus 2 prototypes were built – 52 total
Questions for Pat or anyone????
Can you tie a GMMG Tag # to the 7 Y1F’s MIA & 3 YOBB’s MIA?
The 35th Anniv. Tag #’s you gave me don’t always match Matt’s information. Any clue why?
Does anyone know about Year One Z-28 Camaro – silver?
GMMG Tag # 11134 - Vin #: 2G1FP22GY2141621 - Do you have any photos?
Does anyone have any more photos of the 2 YOBB Converts @ Road Atlanta or anywhere else?
What's with the purple Camaro in the photo?
