............from Ray Cochran...............Thanks for sharing Ray.

Hate to see Doug's car for sale again. Someone needs to make it theirs and appreciate it for what it is.

This is the show board I did for him many moons ago.

I saw that the asking price is now $21,500... How is it that a GMMG Camaro is still for sale when it is that cheap? I say cheap because it seems that most GMMGs are between $32k and $50k. At that price, I'm trying to figure what I can sell or steal so that it might find a good home again!

IMHO - the 5th gens are hurting the values of some GMMG's, most specifically the phase 1 versions and even phase 2's. Anything that is a Phase 3 or a Dick Harrell, well those continue to command a good price & there are active buyers out there because they are very very special.

Classic example of this was last year when I could have purchased a 2002 Berger SS phase 1 convertible w/ around 8,000 miles for $20k. It was a 1 owner, was rock solid, & looked good. I passed on it in hopes of some day landing a ZL1.

A sign of the times that we are in is apparent at car shows. Over the past few years, there are more and more 5th gens and less 4th gens showing up at the car shows that I have attended here in Iowa. In fact, quite often the 3rd gens will even outnumber the 4th gens.

It is what it is. Cars are no different than commodities, they go through economic up & down cycles due to basic supply and demand. Here in Iowa, corn was selling for $8/bushel a few years ago. This year that same bushel of corn was selling for $3.30/bushel. Go figure!

Someday hopefully the prices on GMMG's will rebound & buyers will become more active once again.

And now it's at $19k, no reserve, or best offer... That's it... My 04 duramax is going up for sale plus everything else I can scrounge up in my garage. Got a 63 Ford Country Sedan wagon, too... Anyone? Lol
