I have always been obsessed with the LT4 Camaro SS . . . I had an opportunity to buy one from a dealer "new" in 2000 . . but finances were not avail.

In the fall of 2007 I found a Hendrick SS on eBay . . . now I knew all about the silver Hendrick Motor Sport SS that Rick had built but was not aware of the LT4 . . Fortunately Matt Murphy was working with SLP during this time, and was full of all the info I needed to learn about these unique cars.

There were only 9 HMS LT4's built . . one for Rick Hendrick and eight for public sale.

Here is Car # 5 of 9 HMS LT4s and #6 of the 100 total run of LT4 SS's

The car is 100% original, and still maintains all window stickers on the windows. It is still on MSO. I have all documentation on the car . . even have the original battery.

It is a really neat piece of Camaro history, that I will treasure for many years.

At Superfest this past Summer:

At Michigan International Speedway 2009:

F-Body Gathering in Georgia

This is one difficult car NOT to drive . . . compared to my other 4th gen Camaros he is SO solid and smooth as silk to run. I purchased him with a mere 57 miles on the odometer. I have put a few miles on him, and he is at 206 miles total.

A few years ago I was able to acquire the option R1 wheel and tire package that was listed on the window sticker . . I also got the original Quaker State duffel that was presented at purchase.

Doesn't everyone have wheels and tires in the living room?

Sweet Camaro for sure. I have seen it many times. Good to see it got a few miles on it since the last time I seen it. :)

Yes, the 1997 LT4 SS is my favorite Camaro of all time, I remember reading about them in 1996/97 issue of "Camaro Enthusiast" Magazine and knew I had to have one. I had just started engineering college and knew I would not be able to afford one but it was always a dream of mine. I remember a couple of years later, our Chevy Dealer (Dave Heather) in Manitowoc had the Hendrick LT4 #9 (Signatures on the hood and clear coated) for sale in their showroom, it was so special that the local newspaper wrote an article about it (which is how I found out about it) and had it available for all to see, roped off ofcourse.

Very cool that you have #5 Hendrick LT4, and nice collection of goodies too.

LT4 CAMARO'S ARE RARE (100) BUT THIS CAR IS EVEN RARER THAN THE OTHERS. I TOO HAVE ALWAYS LIKE THESE CARS AND FEEL THEY ARE VERY COLLECTIBLE. YOURS ALSO HAS THE HOUNDSTOOTH INTERIOR. IT'S COOL MATT WAS AT SLP WHEN THESE CARS WERE MADE. THE 330HP IS A TOUCH THAT CARRIED OVER TO THE GMMG'S.
