Scott Koscik - thanks for sharing
2002 Carl Black / Year One Formula
I'm not sure where I got these two ads back in 2002.
Perhaps they came out of Year One catalogs or one of the Pontiac magazines.
The reverse side of both are also ads for Year One. I noticed a couple of differences between the two ads.
The red one calls the car a "2002 Year One Formula 350" while the black one calls it the "2002 Year One Edition Formula."
The red one has a price starting at $35,580 and the black one starts at $36,980.
The price increase might be because the black one mentions "Cat-back chambered exhaust" while the red one does not.
The red one states that it is "available in eight exterior colors" but the black one mentions that it is "available in five exterior colors."
How many of these were actually produced?
It states that they were to be "limited to less than 50 vehicles."
from Jim Smith........
Only 7 YOF's were built plus 2 protypes PR1 & PR2 for a total of 9.
YOF #7 (SOM) being the last one.
PR1 - Red
PR2 - Black
# 1-7
The first GMMG I ever saw & drove was YOF #5 near Tampa when the original owner had it for sale.
I had no clue what I was looking at.
How can a base Formula with cloth be worth the big money.
I started researching GMMG & the rest is history owning close to 30 GMMG's & have 7 in the collection today.
