Lot's of work - no shortcuts.

Jim,

I wish I could tell you there was some magic in a bottle I use but there really isn't. I probably have over 15 different types of aluminum polish. Some liquid, some paste, even some steel wool type. Every different piece of aluminum I polish takes a different approach to get it to look good. The products I use on my snowmobile are different than what I use on my car exhaust for example. There are even times I will actually wet sand and then polish and buff to get the look I want. It just takes time and experience and I have been detailing for 20 years. I wish I could figure out a way to make a living detailing......because that is where my passion is!

I'll give you a couple of products that I generally use the most. Let me know if you have more questions I'd be happy to help if I can.

I've been using 'Simichrome Polish' by Happich on subject metals for many years. It is a paste made in Germany and most motorcycle shops should have it.

AND, like has been said, it just takes a lot of elbow grease to get that nice shine..... ;)
