I had a beautiful 92 Z28 as a daily driver

In 2005 a Hurricane came through and the car was hit by debris. The back glass got scratched as well as some nicks to the paint. Insurance paid $2900 (Back glass was $1700!). Instead of fixing right away, I added $100 to the check and bought a 91 convertible. That's the car I sold in 15 minutes when I found the BlackBird

Unfortunately, in 2007, a guy turned left in front of me and that was the end of TEALMOBILE

So I went to GoodWill and bought another for $400. Fixed it up with a retro theme.

Thanks Jim,

I have to say, 3rdgens are cheap thrills. I've actually had 6, 3 were less than a $1000. They drive like big go-carts. :)

Thanks J.D. I get more compliments on that car from non-car people than anything else I've owned (a 20 something college girl valet in Norfolk went nuts for the interior and was surprised to learn houndstooth had been around since the 60's). 3rdGens came in pink, lime green and piss yellow for the IROC series. I was surprised that for their 10 year run this color was never offered. I tried to think, if I had input for an anniversary car what would I do. I think 69 Hugger orange Z's are iconic as well as the houndtooth interior. Plus a few more horsepower to get it out of it's own way. (actually I built it to shed those pesky Neon srt/4's from the mid nineties that embarrass the poor regular 3rdGens- and I've surprized a few :) ) When you open the hood, it all looks stock except for the headers. Not too many people notice the aluminum heads. ;)
