How did Matt come up with #38 for the Bobby Labonte Blackbird?
At the time Tony Stewart #20 & Bobby Labonte #18 were team mates
Add 20 + 18 & you have 38
Only Matt Murphy could come up with something like this – so creative!
I was informed that PR-2 was totalled a few days after it was purchased.
And you think you are having a bad day!
Someone built a silver #21 clone – it’s a fake
#38 – Bobby Labonte Blackbird
Why was Bobby Labonte’s Blackbird numbered #38?
Bobby drove #18 (Interstate Battery) & teammate Tony Stewart drove #20 (Home Depot)
Add them together for #38
#38 BB is also White & Interstate green.
Great job Matt!
#32 Blackbird – Matt
#41 Blackbird was wrecked & totalled.
It has a salvage title as of Sept. 1 2011

Here’s the story from the owner (T.J.) of PR-2 – April 27, 2011
You have the Blackbird PR1 as a wreck with pics, and the PR2 as still on the road. I think well positive it is the other way around.
The PR1 was never wrecked and the PR2 was the one that was wrecked. I had bought the PR2 from the INS Co, and had it restored, then took it to GMMG and had all of it put back to the original way it was, and the phase 2 package put on the car.
So PR1 and PR2 are still on the rd. PR2 was the one that was wrecked.
Thanks for the update T.J.

Thankfully everyone survived this one

Hands down BB #34 is the best detailed GMMG I’ve ever seen. Aaron has it looking better than new.
Look at his garage – perfect in every way.
